Welcome to the Spotlight virtual tour

The Spotlight Platform

Recent evolution of the Medical Affairs team has led to the creation of the Hematology Medical Data Generation, Strategic Collaborations and Congress Strategy divisions located across the Summit and Boudry offices.

Spotlight has been developed to introduce you to the latest studies being worked on by the team from the four main BMS Hematology pillars: Multiple Myeloma, Lymphoma, CAR T and MDS. The studies will be introduced via an immersive virtual tour platform while also introducing the members of the new Summit and Boudry teams along the way. Putting the latest studies in the SPOTLIGHT, the virtual tour platform displays the great work of the teams, by highlighting the study objectives, status and the team behind it.

Spotlight also demonstrates the newly formed Medical Affairs divisions expertise, vision, and purpose, how they complement ongoing studies. It also displays the value the new division can bring to other teams and the organization as a whole.

You will be introduced to the following studies from each of the 4 therapeutic areas:

About the teams

Vision

To be experts in the field of hematology, renowned for effective leadership, innovative best practice, and achieving successful patient outcomes through collaboration, strategic focus and expert delivery.

Purpose

To optimize success for BMS hematology products and to transform patients’ lives by the focus and application of expertise, insight, and strategic collaboration.

Overview

We are experts in the field of hematology medical affairs within BMS.

Our primary goal is to optimize the collection and integration of effective medical data to help fulfil the strategic goals of our business.

Based in Europe (Boudry) and the US (Summit), we connect and work with teams across the business to manage the four key hematology pillars of Medical Data Generation, Congress Strategy, Strategic Collaboration, and Medical Monitoring.

We are an expert team of scientists and medical specialists applying our expertize and experience to enhance the value of medical data generation and optimise the collaborative output from cross-functional projects and studies. This includes post-approval safety studies (PASS), developing integrated evidence plans (IEP), and maximizing the value of medical deliverables for hematology congresses, often supported by specialist training.

We review clinical data, identify, and prioritize evidence gaps, optimize protocols, expertly support study teams, and manage BMS-sponsored hematology registries.

We provide essential information to the medical community, regulators, physicians, and patients treated with BMS products.

We share and communicate ideas and information to support the BMS corporate vision.

By being versatile and responsive, our team develops innovative best practices to consistently demonstrate the value and reliability of our contribution.

Staus:

Recruitment has been completed

Countries:

EU, UK

Protocol Identifier & Title

A non-interventional post authorisation registry of patients treated with pomalidomide for relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma who have received at least two prior treatment regimens, including both lenalidomide and bortezomib, and have demonstrated disease progression on the last therapy.

Study Objectives

Countries:

Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Spain

Protocol Identifier & Title

CC-5013-MCL-005: A Non-interventional, Post-authorization Safety Study of Patients with Relapsed or Refractory Mantle Cell Lymphoma to Further Investigate and Characterize the Association of Lenalidomide With Tumor Flare Reaction and High Tumor Burden.

Study Objectives

Primary Objective

To quantify and characterize the event of tumor flare reaction (TFR) by tumor burden (assessed based on the last CT scan performed within a maximum of 2 months prior to initiation of administration of lenalidomide) in R/R MCL patients treated with lenalidomide in a real-world setting.

Secondary Objective

To quantify and characterize the proportion of early deaths (defined as deaths within 20 weeks of the initial administration of lenalidomide) by tumor burden in R/R MCL patients treated with lenalidomide in a real-world setting.

Disease Area: MDS
Study Type: Observational
Time Perspective: Prospective
Data Collection: EDC (RAVE)

Staus:

Completed enrollment in Q2 2019

Countries:

EU

Protocol Identifier & Title

A prospective non-interventional post-authorization safety study (PASS), designed as a disease registry of patients with transfusion dependent IPSS low or intermediate-1-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and isolated del(5q).

Study Objectives

Primary Objective

To ascertain the progression to AML and survival (through calculation of product-limit estimators and incidence rates, as well as the attributable risk [AR] and AR percentage [AR%]) among 217 patients (primary population) with transfusion dependent IPSS low-or int-1risk MDS with del(5q) as an isolated cytogenetic abnormality who have been treated with lenalidomide.

Secondary Objective

To describe the progression to AML and survival among patients with MDS who have never been exposed to lenalidomide. This will include explorative analyses of progression to AML and survival in patients receiving treatments or treatment modalities other than lenalidomide whenever possible..
